What is Digital Campaign?

Digital Campaigns are like ways to promote products or services online while using different methods like search engine optimisation, social media marketing and content creation.

Everyone has heard of Coca-Cola before, am I right? Their iconic red and white branding. One of the best examples of their digital campaigns would be their Instagram reels for the recent FIFA Women’s World Cup.

This perfect example of Coca-Cola shows how they have utilised social media marketing as a way to promote their brand while using recent events around Australia. This would increase their brand awareness, drive traffic for their social media page, boost their Coca-Cola sales and improve their consumer retention.

What is IMC?

IMC is a strategy for companies to outline how they would use marketing communication channels to deliver consistent messages to their target audiences to ensure marketing strategies work together seamlessly to achieve higher brand experience and brand awareness, creating brand loyalty. It can be through paid media, earned media and owned media, some examples consist of advertising, public relations, sales promotions, direct marketing, and digital marketing.

So, how do Coca-Cola Digital Campaigns connect with their IMC?

Back in 2011, one of their famous campaigns was their ‘Share a Coke‘ Campaign which included changing the wrapping around the bottle to say ‘Share a Coke with…’ and a famous person’s name. This was launched to create more personal relationships with consumers and share the joy of Coca-Cola.

Such efforts from Coca-Cola have made them a giant in the food and beverage industry that is universally recognised all due to their campaigns and IMC strategies to keep them from being forgotten for the past 137 years!
